FORD GT40 Mk1 Chassis 1019
1019 was delivered to Alan Mann along with 1023 to be prepared as a lightweight GT40, but he had received by that time 5 chassis from Abbey Panels and he decided to built his lightweights ( the future AMGT1 and 2) from scratch and used 1019 and 1023 as a supply of parts. What was left of 1019 was sold to P. Hawkins who rebuilt it and it evolve in the same style as the chassis AMGT2 which he also acquired after the lightweight project was abandoned . He won the 6 hours of Barcelona with it. He sold it after that and the car was raced in club events until 1971 by its new owner. The car changed hands several times and can be seen in historic races. Prior to be sent to Alan Mann 1019 has been tested by Graham Hill in Nov. 1965.
