Short career for this Scuderia Bear GT40, its first and only race was at Sebring in February 1966. It finished 13th. It was sent to Le Mans for the 24 hours race in June the same year but during practice the car was hit by the Mk2 driven by Thompson. 1029 was totally destroyed and after being stripped of its few salvageable parts the wreck was scrapped.

THis was my father's car. (I still have the original invoice for $15,400.) I can still remember sitting in it. I was 13 at the time.
