Ford GT40 Mk1 Chassis P1001
P 1001 was first prepared as a look alike of the Shelby's team cars and was presented at the New York show and at the 1965 World's fair. Then it was sent back to FAV in England to be prepared as a race car.
On loan to the Essex Wire team for the 24 hours of Le Mans it retired . It was Jacky Icks debut at Le Mans.
Sold to
4 different owners from 1966 to 1970 it was raced mainly in club races in England and South Africa. After been reconverted as a road car it is now restored to its original Essex Wire livery.
